We are so honored that the City of Newport Beach is once again part of our Spirit Run. The Recreation Department will be holding The Camp Newport Expo. We interviewed Stephanie Brown, Recreation Supervisor about what you can expect on March 12th at the Spirit Run.
Q: Tell us about Camp Newport and what we can expect on March 12th.
A. Camp Newport this year will be s’more fun than you can handle with over 25 booths to visit! The Camp Newport Expo is a chance to get a sneak peek at some of the City’s best camps. Collect stamps as you meet some of our talented instructors, play games, enter instructor raffles for a free week of camp and check out our golf dinosaur and skateboarding demo. Turn in your stamps for an exclusive campnewport.com tote and then head over a make a treat at our s’more makin’ station!
Q: How long has the City of Newport Beach partnered with the Newport-Mesa Spirit Run?
A: The City has been partnering with the NMUSD Spirit Run for over 7 years! This partnership thrives because each entity has a common goal of enriching the community and providing meaningful experiences for persons of all ages.
Q: What activities will people get to experience at Camp Newport on March 12th?
A: This year, you can check out a live skateboarding demo (even get a chance to participate!) hosted by Skatedogs; take a swing with SCPGA at the giant golf dinosaur, flash a smile at our campy photo booth, complete the hunt for stamps by visiting instructor booths, make a tasty treat at the s’mores makin’ station, and check out our custom campnewport.com Snapchat filter!
