Newport-Mesa Spirit Run (NMSR) is presented by a nonprofit
public benefit corporation (501(c)(3) application pending). NMSR is
managed by a board of parent volunteers representing several schools in the
Newport-Mesa Unified School District and who are dedicated to keeping the event
alive.
NMSR’s mission is (1) to present a community event promoting
childhood fitness; (2) to provide scholarship (i.e., free entries) to children
in the district who are financially unable to pay; and (3) to provide an
opportunity to receive a share of net proceeds to any school in the
Newport-Mesa Unified School District demonstrating commitment to NMSR’s
mission. If you have a child in the Newport-Mesa Unified School
District, your child’s school has an opportunity to participate in and benefit
from the event. Contact your school’s principal or info@nmspiritrun.org for more information.
If you would like to become involved in NMSR, please contact
us. We are seeking help in promoting registration, with volunteers on the
day of the event, and through corporate, individual, or family
sponsorships. Your support will help to keep NMSR alive and support
education throughout the Newport-Mesa Unified School District. To learn
more about NMSR or about how you can become involved, please email info@nmspiritrun.org.
Please join us in making the 29th Annual Newport-Mesa Spirit
Run an enjoyable and successful event.
Sincerely,
Newport-Mesa Spirit Run, Inc. Board of Directors
